Notices to All Milford Water Department Customers
Rate Increase
On March 26, 2025, at a scheduled meeting, the Town of Milford Water Commissioners approved an increase of 4% in its rates and to lower the second step from 4800 cubic feet to 2700 cubic feet beginning on July 1, 2025.
The change to the current water usage rates is as follows;
Residential – Quarterly water bills
First 2700 cubic feet will be $5.72 per hundred cubic feet.
Low Income will be $4.59 per hundred cubic feet.
Usage over 2700 cubic feet will be $8.59 per hundred cubic feet.
Low Income over 2700 cubic feet will be $6.87 per hundred cubic feet.
Quarterly Service Charge will stay the same at $43.87 per quarter for a 5/8 residential meter.
Low Income Service Charge will stay the same at $35.08 per quarter for a 5/8 residential meter.
Please note the Quarterly Service Charge varies and is based on the size of the meter installed at your location, most homes have a 5/8 meter. The current Service Charge will not be changing for FY26.
Non-Residential – Monthly water bills
First 2700 cubic feet will be $5.72 per hundred cubic feet.
Usage over 2700 cubic feet will be $6.54 per hundred cubic feet.
Monthly Service Charge will stay the same at $25.25 per month for a 5/8 non-residential meter.
Please note the Monthly Service Charge varies and is based on the size of the meter installed at your location. The current Service Charge will not be changing for FY26.
Other fees such as Private Fire Service and Hydrants have also increased by 4%.
